And...I'm back/At the Beach

Wow.  I think it has been almost a month since I have been online, except to check random emails and whatnots.  Thats the longest I've ever gone, and weirdly, as addicted as I am to the computer, I didn't really miss it.
This past week, I was on Captiva Island, Florida for a small family vacation (it was my family, my Uncle from Michigan's family, and most of my Aunt's family from Georgia).  But, instead of doing one big photodump like I normally do (aka my laziness shining through), I am going to split it up into a few different posts over this next week since it's been forever since I've updated my blog :O

We'll start off At the Beach, because even though our house was on the beach, and it was gorgeous, I just am not a beach person.  At all.  First off, I am very very sensitive to the sun, especially down in Florida, and even with 50 sunscreen on, I still have been known to get sunpoisoning from time to time.  So, I stay out of the sun as much as I can, not to mention the fact that I hate the way the sand feels.  I have definite texture problems with it, and I can easily I say I was never a dirty or messy child at all.

On our second day there, we had a sand castle building contest.  Well, being the Sci-Fi loving family that we are, any old sand castle just wouldn't do.  So, instead, we decided to build the Tardis from Doctor Who.  None of the other family's knew what it was though, those losers.
My Uncle's family was the only one to build an actual sand castle.
My cousin Cody, and his wife and darling daughter built a Mickey Mouse.
And my Aunt Brenda, the artist of the family, built this masterpiece of a sand sculpture of an alligator.
(that is my artistic aunt.  For some reason I didn't have any individual pics of her with her masterpiece)
We lost.

At one point in the day, my hair did look semi cute with my vintage swimsuit.  I found it at a flea market a few months ago for only $10!

I tried something new with my hair.  Like this:

Can you tell they're all related, haha

I'm with your family - I don't watch Dr. Who, so I don't quite get it! :)

Your swimsuit is fabulous! I have one vintage suit, but I need about 100 more!

I've been a fan of Doctor Who since the 1980s so I would have loved the TARDIS sand castle. I made a TARDIS shirt when I was 10. hehe.

I ADORE your bathing suit so much!!!! It's gorgeous.
