Mother Father and I

What good is any vacation without some pictures with the parents?
This is one of the dresses I made even though you can barely see it.  I used a 60's pattern, which I don't normally sew with.  I also made it out of actual vintage eyelet fabric from the 40's/ 50's I think.
I think this is my very favorite dress I have made so far.  I got the vintage fabric from RetroactiveVintage.  And, this was my first time attempting to wear a snood that I bought from ArtheliasAttic.  I absolutely love the quality of it and I will definitely be purchasing a few more soon.  This was also my first real attempt at trying some victory rolls.  Any tips on how to get them smoother, smaller, whatnot?  I was pretty happy with how they turned out, being my first time and all, but my mother was less than enthused about the look.  But I really like the whole ensemble for once in my life haha.
And this is the guy that had just come off a boat (the restaurant was on a dock) a little way beyond tipsy and was totally trying to mack on me while my mother was trying to take my picture.  Why couldn't he have been just, oh about, 30 years younger and hot haha.  Oh well, it never happens to me.

I think your snoody victory rolls look great. Pomade is good for smoothing them down...layrite is a good one. Smaller...smaller...no, no...to smaller victory rolls! :D
